The ‘Ike Ea Program teaching Engineering and Electronics May 26, 2010
The ‘Ike Ea Program continued its goal of teaching Engineering and Electronics at two schools on the Windward side of Oahu. Classes started on May 10th to the 21st at Waiahole and Kahaluu Elementary Schools. Daily hands-on activities such as, popsicle stick bridge building with a 50 lbs. load test, egg drop, circuits and model house wiring, helped reinforce the concepts learned during the lecture part of the course. A total of two classes with 39 students participated in the program. Students were recognized with their efforts with a certificate and goody bags. The team closed the school year by teaching 15 schools on Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island.
