Tech Together Wraps Up Interactive Class Sessions at Kamaile Academy June 1, 2009
The Tech Together Program recently wrapped up nine days of interactive classes at Kamaile Academy PCS in Waianae. Teachers Dawn Shin and Kurt Kmett worked with 45 sixth grade students on concepts such as renewable and non-renewable energy, circuits, and electromagnetism. The hands-on class began on May 12 and concluded on May 29, 2009 with a discussion highlighting careers in engineering and an ohana night where students showcased their projects, including solar powered cars, series and parallel circuits, LED prototypes, electromagnets, and DC motors.
