PIDF turns 25! April 19, 2022
Join us in celebrating 25 years of living Hawaiian values, serving Hawaiʻi’s families. Partners in Development Foundation started off with a few Hawaiians talking story with a shared purpose to educate, connect, and provide more opportunities for their lāhui. By working together, each of us, from our friends and supporters, staff and families, kūpuna to the youngest of keiki, holds kuleana to balance the future wellbeing of Hawai‘i.
While the people and programs of PIDF have evolved throughout the years, one thing remains true: to inspire and equip families and communities for success and service using timeless Native Hawaiian values and traditions.
For the past 25 years, supporters like you have powered the mission of Partners in Development Foundation allowing our team to strengthen families across the state of Hawaiʻi. Through your generosity, we have transformed the lives of over 125,000 keiki and adults realizing a more sustainable future for our islands. We invite you to renew your commitment today!
“For me it’s a big blessing. It’s a big opportunity to learn and explore new things and to teach my son, and also be his first teacher. I learned a lot of life lessons and parenting lessons. There are not enough words to explain about the program. It’s great. It’s awesome. Thank you very much!”
–Nati, a Ka Paʻalana parent
We are motivated by knowing that our communities will achieve greater vibrancy through the support and care we share with our ‘ohana. Our programs and staff equip families and communities for success by providing them with the foundational tools to meet life’s challenges–– welcoming our caregivers, keiki, and youth as they are without judgment.
“If a youth comes and they’re struggling, if they’re just having a really hard day, if they’re just having a mental health episode, we can just stop (our work). We can walk. We can talk. We can just hang out on the farm instead of needing to finish a task at hand.”
–Zachary Huang, Kupa ʻAina Director
