PIDF Employees Take Part In Cancer Walk to Honor and Remember Their Own October 8, 2009
Partners In Development Foundation employees took part in the American Cancer Society’s first-ever “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” on Saturday October 3rd.
Wearing t-shirts honoring PIDF independent contractor Sweets Wright and employee Tiare Agpaoa both of whom are cancer survivors, and in remembrance of the late Margaret Kapuakela who worked with us in accounting, PIDF participants walk/ran the 5 mile course which began at Richardson’s Field adjacent to the Aloha Stadium, then crossed the bridge to Ford Island in Pearl Harbor, passing the USS Bowfin, the Arizona Memorial, and the Battleship Missouri, then circling back over the bridge to end at its starting point.
Our employees along with family and friends were met at the finish by Sweets, who greeted them with much Aloha and gratitude for their participation. MAHALO TO ALL!
