Partners in Development Foundation programs take part in 96th Annual King Kamehameha Parade June 22, 2012

On Saturday, June 9, 2012, families and staff of Partners in Development Foundation’s Ka Pa‘alana program gathered near ‘Iolani Palace in preparation for the 96th Annual King Kamehameha Parade.

For this year’s parade Kamehameha Schools invited several community partners and agencies to participate in the parade. KS-funded organizations such as Pūnana Leo, Hālau Kū Māna and others walked the 5-mile route from ‘Iolani Palace to Kapi‘olani Park.

This year’s parade was especially poignant, as it also commemorated the 125th year of Kamehameha Schools and the retirement of its beloved president and headmaster, Dr. Michael J. Chun.

Mahalo Dr. Chun for your many years of service to Hawai‘i’s families and keiki.
