In the middle of the Kalaeloa desert, a peculiar sight has emerged. Once standing in a dry, dusty patch of land, the Ka Pa‘alana Preschool now welcomes families with an inviting new playground complete with walkways, access ramps, and natural playscapes.

These improvements are part of our efforts to meet the highest standards for preschools as we progress toward accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Mahalo Uncle Mike, the Ke Kama Pono boys, Uncle Lambert, and the fathers at the shelter for your labor of love to provide an oasis of learning for our keiki and their families.
