National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) provides books, playhouse to PIDF early education programs August 15, 2011

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) sponsored a playhouse build-off and chose PIDF programs Ka Pa‘alana and Tūtū and Me to be recipients of one of those playhouses and books collected during their book drive.

The playhouses were displayed at Kahala Mall from July 28-31, and the public was invited to cast their “votes” for their favorite playhouse by placing a donation of books next to one of those playhouses. Ka Pa‘alana received the Kai the ‘Opihi themed playhouse which the children at Hope Shelter in Kalaeloa will enjoy and Tūtū and Me received the books.
