Locations Foundation event provides clothing for homeless families and children July 14, 2016
On Saturday, June 18, 2016, hundreds of agents, staff, and their families from Locations LLC gathered at the Shriner’s Beach Club in Waimānalo for a day of fun, relaxation, and a chance to give back to the community.
For the past 6 years, Michael Marks and his colleagues at Locations LLC and Locations Foundation (the philanthropic arms of Locations LLC) have used their annual company picnic as the venue to put on a clothing drive to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawai‘i. Last year, Ka Pa‘alana was added as a beneficiary and was blessed with children’s clothing and work-ready clothes for shelter adults. Marks and his colleagues wanted to make this year’s event the biggest yet by publicizing the event through local media, and adding yet another beneficiary – The Institute for Human Services.
A total of over 11,030 lbs of clothing was donated through the great event, and thanks to the generosity of Locations Foundation, the keiki and families of Ka Pa‘alana will receive gently used clothing, toys, and other needed items. In addition the the gently used clothing, Locations Foundation donated a dollar per lb. to each of the three programs to support their good work in the community.
Mahalo Nui Loa to agents and staff of Locations LLC and Locations Foundation for your generosity.
