Local business partners with Aloha United Way to give back to the community each year December 9, 2014
Last year, the families of Ka Pa‘alana Homeless Family Education Program received more than 150 gift baskets filled with food and fun from Aloha Island Lei and Aloha United Way. The baskets were distributed at all nine Ka Pa‘alana preschool sites along the Leeward Coast.
When asked why they decided to donate the gift baskets last year, Daniel Paik, General Manager of Aloha Island Lei, stated that the company had always wanted to give back to the community and that he could think of no one more deserving than our families.
This year, the big-hearted staff of Aloha Island Lei wanted to do something similar so they once again partnered with Jody Shiroma, Vice President of Marketing and Communication at Aloha United Way to put together more than 125 gift boxes filled with food.
Mahalo to Aloha Island Lei and Aloha United Way for making the holidays that much brighter for our families and communities.
