Let’s Rally in Support of Early Childhood Education May 29, 2014

During the month of March, Partners in Development Foundation participated in the ‘Eleu FCIL (Family Child Interaction Learning) Rally at the State Capitol. The rally created awareness of various early education programs as well as encouraging our legislators to help fund early childhood education.

Families from our far away communities such as Wai‘anae and Waialua arrived on buses to spend the morning with us at the beautiful rotunda in support of this important event.

We had the opportunity to meet Senator Brian Taniguchi who represents the Papakōlea area and shared with him about Tūtū and Me and how important it is to be able to continue our program Statewide.

A few or our families from Tūtū and Me (including one family from Papakōlea) were featured on the Morning Sunrise news (KHON2) with Jai Cunningham. What a great turn out and we hope that our voices were heard throughout the State Capitol.
