Kupa ʻAina Farm CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE March 20, 2026
March 20, 2026
Aloha Kupa ʻAina ʻOhana,
We are writing to inform you that Kupa ‘Aina Farm will be closed to all participants till further notice due to ongoing inclement weather conditions and adequate shelter.
Consistent rainfall, along with already saturated terrain from the recent storm, has created unsafe working conditions across the farm. The excessive moisture has also contributed to significant overgrowth and fallen trees, making areas difficult to navigate safely. Additionally, we are currently in need to replacing tent coverage to provide adequate shelter for workers; however, current weather conditions make it unsafe to perform this task, particularly when ladder use is required.
At this time, the farm will remain closed for the remainder of the week until we are able to have at least one full day of sun. This will allow our team to safely address overgrown grass, improve ground conditions, and ensure that all areas are safe for both our youth participants and staff.
The safety of our community is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support. We will provide updates as conditions improve and notify you when it is safe to resume operations.
Mahalo nui loa,
Celeste Andres, Kupa ʻAina Farm Project Director
