Kohala High Earns AVID School Wide – Site of Distinction Certification May 4, 2017
AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. Each year AVID schools around the globe are evaluated and expected to meet a set of 11 essentials related to the AVID program that focuses on closing achievement gaps and developing career and college ready students. In addition to the 11 essentials, school wide matrices regarding process and impact are measured.
