Ke Ao Nei at Kahalu’u September 3, 2010
The Tech Together: Ke Ao Nei Program helped launch the new school year with two weeks of fun-filled science classes at Kahalu‘u Elementary School. The 26 sixth grade students learned about energy use and conservation with hands-on projects using renewable energy such as hydroelectric power, wind power, and biofuel. Each student also built their own solar oven and solar powered cars. Classes concluded on August 27, 2010 with a discussion highlighting careers and an ‘ohana night where students shared the concepts they learned with family members.
