Kanileʻa ʻUkulele Donate 200 Instruments June 9, 2014

Joe and Kristen Souza are on a mission to spread aloha through music. It was sixteen years ago that they set up their very own ‘ukulele shop, Kanile‘a ‘Ukulele. Joe has built custom ‘ukulele for over twenty years and is now a master of the trade.

Our First Hawaiian Banking Officer, Senior Vice President, Joanne Arizumi and Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, Demaney Kihe, have introduced us to Joe and Kristen, who have generously donated 200 ‘ukulele to Partners In Development Foundation.

The ‘ukulele will be used throughout the Foundation to teach ‘ukulele and to accompany our staff as they sing songs. We are very grateful to Kanile‘a ‘Ukulele and First Hawaiian Bank for their support and generosity.
