Kahumana Organic Farm May 6, 2013

As part of our planting theme for March 2013, our Tūtū and Me Wai‘anae families went on a huaka‘i to visit the Kahumana Organic Farm in Wai‘anae Valley. Twenty-one keiki and twenty caregivers attended that day as we toured the farm. We were all able to taste, look, and learn about the different organic plants such as kalo, kalamungai, carrots, radishes and other plants. The keiki were also excited to see the chickens, a bull, and some fish. Our huaka‘i ended with the keiki playing games and singing songs. Everyone had so much fun that we are sure to visit Kahumana Organic Farm again especially because it is part of the Wai‘anae community.
