Ka Pa’alana Traveling Preschool Easter Egg Hunt April 3, 2015
Our traveling preschool brought the joy of Easter celebration to the homeless keiki and their families at Wai’anae.
The normal routine of preschool activities was accented with an Easter egg hunt. The children donned bunny ears and sang songs while shaking plastic eggs filled with goodies. The eggs were then collected and while the keiki and their families settled down to lunch, visiting guests were asked to hide them.
With much anticipation, the keiki hurried through their meal as they looked forward to starting the hunt. But wait… There were rules… You have to stop after collecting 5 eggs, and the littlest keiki go first. Ok, go!
Everyone enjoyed the hunt. Keiki, families, staff, and guests as eggs were gathered from behind trees, in little tufts of grass, and some that were laid in the open so they could be easily found by the littlest of the little ones. Great fun was had by all. Happy Easter!!!
