Ka Pa‘alana staff use cook-off to support Hawai‘i Foodbank September 17, 2015
On September 11, 2015, Ka Pa‘alana staff had an enjoyable lunch cook-off competition fundraiser for the Hawai‘i Foodbank. This voluntary event yielded several KP staff, who made their favorite appetizer, entrée, or dessert dishes with one requirement: the dish must incorporate a canned food item.
During lunch, the office was filled with delicious aromas! For those who voluntarily participated, $5 got them a plate to taste every dish and pick their favorite appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The 3 winners were awarded with prestigious office bragging rights and gift cards.
Over $200 was raised and priceless memories for a lifetime were made. Many were excited to bring awareness to this cause and are looking forward to the Hawai‘i Foodbank Hunger Walk this Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 9am at Honolulu Civic Center.
