Ka Pa‘alana Family Fun Day at Mā‘ili Land December 27, 2011

To foster excitement and enthusiasm for our extended-day program at Mā‘ili Land, Ka Pa‘alana held a fantastic Family Fun Day!

On December 9, 2011, our families created lasting memories and treasured keepsakes. Parents and children painted ceramic tiles from Clay Café at Ward Warehouse. After painting, we took the tiles back to the store to fire and then mounted each tile in a wooden frame. Parents also learned how to use a digital camera to capture photographs of their children and of themselves, download the photos from the camera, and upload them to Walmart’s photo site to make picture collage calendars. Children decorated Christmas ornaments with glitter and glue. Our families shared lunch and ended our day with a lot of sparkle and shine!

On January 9, 2012, we will offer adult classes and emphasize preschool learning with extra fun lessons and activities for our keiki. Our new year will surely be filled with more memories and love!
