Ka Paʻalana Hope Culture Night 2015 May 9, 2015

Living in Hawaiʻi isn’t like what most people imagine it to be. With cost of living on the rise and the growing socioeconomic gap marginalizing the poor and vulnerable in the islands, many are faced with the harsh reality of living homeless. Ka Paʻalana provides hope for the homeless.

Hope Shelter is one of several homeless shelters our Ka Paʻalana program operates in, and each year we put on a culture night to recognize the many different ethnic cultural backgrounds living under the same roof. Hope Culture Night 2015 gave our families living in the shelter an opportunity to express themselves freely by sharing their cultural dances for their friends and family.
