Free Tax Help & Preparation Services
Trained IRS-certified volunteers will prepare your federal and state taxes and help you claim valuable tax credits! The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a tax benefit for people who worked full or part-time. This year there are new and expanded tax credits for low-moderate income workers. A family with 3 children earning less than $48,362 can receive $5,666!
For FREE TAX Preparation, please schedule an appointment by calling 808-884-5838. Please bring with you: original Social Security cards for you & your dependents, birth dates, picture ID, and all documents pertaining to income (W-2, 1099, financial interest forms). FAFSA Federal Student Aid Registration and Assistance
This year, individuals can receive as much as $5,550 for a Pell Grant! Get free assistance registering for FAFSA. Please bring your completed tax forms to receive assistance.
Foreclosure Prevention Counseling and Modification Help
Prevent foreclosure by receiving help with loan modifications, work out plans, reducing payments, and lowering interest rates. You will be provided with an Intake Form, Borrowers Authorization and Conflict of Interest form, Budget Sheet, 4506T tax return form, and hardship letter. To seek counseling help, please bring: 2 months paystub, more recent W2, 2 months bank statement, and assets statements.
Investor Education Materials & Info on Starting a Business
The State Dept. of Commerce & Consumer Affairs (DCCA)’s Business Registration Securities Branch will provide free investor education materials, presentations and informational displays. DCCA’s Business Action Center, a one-stop-shop for new businesses, will also provide forms and information needed to start a new business.
