Diapers Overflow From a Generous Heart January 11, 2010

Ka Pa‘alana Preschool recently received a generous donation of diapers. It started with a simple phone call from a woman named Carol who had just completed her shopping at Costco in Kapolei. She mentioned that while at Costco, she saw the poster that Ka Pa‘alana had presented to thank the store for its donations. She made a note of the program’s contact information and later went to the website to learn more.

Carol didn’t know that Ka Pa‘alana and Tutu & Me are sister programs of the Partners in Development Foundation. Coincidentally Carol and her family are participants at the Tutu & Me Traveling Preschool in Makakilo. Carol said her family enjoys participating with Tutu & Me, and she said, “We wanted to do something to give back to show our appreciation.”

We at Ka Pa‘alana would like to thank Carol and her family for their generosity and support. In addition, we’d like to congratulate Tutu & Me for their awesome work; deeds like this are a reflection of the positive impact they have on families in the community.
