HONOLULU (HI Now) – The Commit to Keiki Initiative is a non-partisan education movement that ensures young children and families are at the top of the agenda for elected leaders. Rachel Pacarro meets with Nanci Kreidman (CEO, Domestic Violence Action Center) and Shawn Kanaʻiaupuni (President & CEO, Partners in Development) to discuss Commit to Keikiʻs plan to educate and encourage gubernatorial candidates to commit to the initiatives three priorities: child care and early learning, family violence prevention, and early childhood mental health. Candidate forums can be found on their website that allow viewers to hear what candidates have to say regarding their plans to help the children of Hawaii.
