Circus! Science Under the Big Top March 15, 2010
Welcome to the World of Insects! Our insect theme took us all on a journey to the Science Adventure Center at the Bishop Museum. Caregivers and keiki learned all about Hawaii’s environment. The center has a cool interactive system that can identify the insect by answering a few questions about its physical appearance. Keiki participated in other activities including wave generation and volcanic eruptions.
The featured exhibit was called, Circus! Science Under the Big Top. The many stations allowed us to experience the thrill of a real circus. Our keiki dressed up in costumes such as tigers and bears and performed amazing feats of strength by lifting barbells above their heads. We even pretended to be musicians by playing instruments matching the movements of the performers.
It was fun exploring the World of Insects and seeing Science Under the Big Top!
