Charity Walk October 10, 2017

As many of you may already know, this year marked the 20th Anniversary of Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF). Over the years we have served over 80,000 children and families statewide. As we continue the work to fulfill our vision of building healthy and resilient communities, a number of our staff joined in to raise funds and even walked in the 39th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk sponsored by the Hawaiʻi Lodging & Tourism Association (HLTA) held in May.

Through HLTA’s nonprofit arm, the Hawaiʻi Hotel Industry Foundation, they were able to distribute funds to 128 charities on Oʻahu, 363 statewide. The Oʻahu Charity Walk was a 5.25 mile course through Waikiki. This year there were 6,500 participants that got to enjoy food, refreshments, and entertainment as they walked.

In return for our support and participation in this annual event, PIDF was presented with a check in the amount of $3,500! Mahalo to all those who “stepped” up to represent the foundation on that beautiful Saturday morning.
