Tūtū and Me is excited to welcome and introduce our staff for the new Hilo and Hāmākua team on the Big Island of Hawai‘i.
On June 2, 2012, Lehua Rowland (Ka Pa‘alana Preschool Teacher) was awarded a $1000 scholarship by Women of Wai‘anae (WOW), a non-profit organization that provides scholarships, financial aid services, and awards to non-traditional students residing on the Wai‘anae Coast.
Last Saturday, May 19th, PIDF employees walked in the Visitor Industry Charity Walk through Waikiki.
It gives us great pleasure to announce our O‘ahu Team 2 staff of Tūtū and Me. Gidget Antone, Lead Teacher, Leihua Augustiro, Assessment Specialist, Keana Kaopuiki and Lenson Ka‘aloa, Teaching Assistants.
On October 8, 2011, Pua Tandal, Native Hawaiian Cultural Specialist/Teacher for ‘Ike No‘eau, and Jin Chang, Co-Program Manager for Ka Pa‘alana, presented the programs’ curricular approaches at the annual Hawai‘i Association for the Education of Young Children (HAEYC) conference.
Life in Kailua-Kona has been good to us all! In March we welcomed the newest member of our teaching team, lead teacher, Lori Onaka.
The Tūtū and Me Department of Research, Evaluation and Development staff are, Gail Omoto, director; Sharon Roddy, assistant to the director; JoAnn Wasson and Monica Ka‘auwai, family support advocates; Jackie Benton Ching, instructional specialist; and Jamie Tom, data entry and research and evaluation support.
Partners In Development Foundation is indeed fortunate to have in our employ, the very talented and well-known Maestro Aaron Mahi.
PIDF staff, coordinated by Tūtū & Me Family Support Advocate JoAnn Wasson, has been working diligently in preparation for the Annual Aloha Festivals Parade.
