Aloun Farm with Makakilo Keiki December 3, 2009

On October 28, 2009 our Makakilo site went on a field trip to the Aloun Farms Pumpkin Patch. Caregivers and keiki met us there in the morning all ready to go with their hats, visors, and sunscreen.

We first climbed aboard the hay ride, which took us around the pumpkin patch where the children were able to sit on hay stacks and gaze upon the field of pumpkins.

Once we got off the hay ride, the children were able to wander the fields and choose their very own pumpkin. Along the pumpkin field, the caregivers and keiki were also able to roam around in the corn fields and pick their own corn.
