Aloha From East Kaua‘i December 21, 2009

Aloha from the East Kaua‘i Staff of Tūtū and Me Traveling Preschool. The month of December is all about sharing and caring for others. As a team, we decided to share within our own communities. A canned food drive was organized and for our huaka‘i, we visited with kupuna and serenaded them with Christmas carols.

Our Kapa‘a site collected 70 pounds of food which was donated to the Kapa‘a Missionary Church Food Bank. The Anahola site collected 79 pounds of food for the Kaua‘i Food Bank which was delivered by the staff along with a “few” Christmas carols.

We then took our Tūtū and Me singing show on the road and caroled with our families at Regency at Puakea Care Home and the Kaua‘i Adult Day Care Center. We shared song and dance which made it such a memorable Christmas for everyone. This month’s huaka‘i were filled with song, laughter, and good times with the kupuna and all of our families!
