Mānoa Heritage Center Provides Cultural Experience for Keiki
Ka Pa‘alana - (Fri) August 9, 2019
Throughout July our Ka Paʻalana Homeless Family Education Program's preschoolers went out to the Mānoa Heritage Center in Honolulu. There, the keiki and their families were able to engage with ʻāina-based or place-based learning.
"Field trips are great in general... they are meant to teach us more about Hawaiian culture, like who we are and where we come from," says Kelsey Conant, a Site Assistant with Ka Paʻalana. "It's something for the future for them to keep carrying on."
Mahalo nui loa to the Mānoa Heritage Center for hosting our Ka Paʻalana ʻohana at your living classroom! We are so grateful for your ʻike and cultural teachings!
