Summer 2010 brought two of Partners In Development Foundation’s programs together for an “energy explosion”! For two weeks, Tech Together Ke Ao Nei taught hands-on science about energy to the participants of Ke Kama Pono Safehouse. Through interactive projects and activities, everyone learned what energy is, where it comes from, and ideas on how we can conserve it. Some of the projects included rubberband airplanes, solar ovens, solar cars, and plaster volcanoes. The time together ended with an “explosion” when the participants erupted their volcanoes at ‘ohana night.
