Last month we wrapped up our annual fundraiser for Aloha United Way (AUW). We encouraged our staff to show their support for other nonprofit organizations here in Hawaiʻi nei, and we are overwhelmed by their efforts!
Our goals were to have 100% participation and raise $12,000. By the end of our campaign, we reached 77% overall participation and raised $14,246! We are blessed to have such wonderful staff and appreciate each and every contribution.
This year, we incentivized the fundraiser by dividing up into program- and region-oriented teams and had a friendly competition. One-third of our teams reached 100% participation, so the top teams were chosen down to the minute!
Our Ka Paʻalana HOPE and Maili Valley team came in 1st and will receive a ‘pizza party’ to mahalo them in the next few weeks. Our Tūtū and Me Oʻahu team came in second, narrowly beating our Nā Pono No Nā ʻOhana/ Kupa ʻAina team. They received a coffee and donut ‘party’ today.
We are thankful to be a part of Aloha United Way, an organization that supports Hawaiian nonprofits and serves our communities. We congratulate them on their 100 years of service, and look forward to next year’s fundraiser.
