The results of the 9th annual Locations Foundationclothing drive are in, and a whopping 8,151 pounds of clothing, shoes, slippers, and linens were collected.

The clothing and other items will be divided equally between our Ka Paʻalana Homeless Family Education Program, as well as the United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPA) of Hawaiʻi and the Institute for Human Services (IHS).

“We’re humbled by the generosity of our agents, their clients and the public,” said Michael Marks, Vice President of Client Engagement for Locations and Chair of the clothing drive. Marks also noted that almost 400 more pounds of clothing was collected than last year’s drive.

Once received from Locations, our portion of the donated items will be freely distributed to our Ka Paʻalana families through outreach and mobile staff. Ka Paʻalana assists families by providing basic needs items as well as educational programming to equip families toward greater self-sufficiency and prepare children for school success.

The Locations Foundation Clothing Drive is Hawaii’s largest corporate-sponsored clothing drive, and has donated more than 50,000 pounds of clothing since 2011.

We are fortunate to have been selected as one of the partner organizations for multiple years, and continue to benefit from the amazing generosity and community-mindedness of the Locations Foundation.

Mahalo nui loa to all those that gave, and to the Locations Foundation for their continued efforts helping children and families in need!
